Katie's Blog.. On Friday I went to my friend Caitlin’s house and we went
to LEGOLAND. First me and Caitlin went on the Laser Raiders, then Pirate Falls
and this one was with Caitlin’s little sister who is called Emily and we went
on the Atlantis ride. Emily is so sweet because when we were in the queue she
wanted to hold my hand and Caitlin’s. We kept swinging her back and forward and
Caitlin’s Mum Caroline was behind Emily just in case Emily let go of my hand or
Caitlin’s.
WOW! I won player of the year for under 10s hockey club.
I won it last year so me and my Mum thought that someone else would win it but
it was me again. There was a boys player of the year and the girls player of
the year and when they said the word goalie I knew it was me because I was the
only under 10s girl goalie so I knew it was me. I definitely think that I won’t
win it next year because you don’t often get the same player get player of the
year three times in a row and it might show a bit of favouritism from the
coaches.
Yesterday my old friend Ciara from my old school came to
my house and it only took 5 minutes to get there by foot so we walked. Me and
Ciara watched Bratz and a bit of All Stars. When Ciara’s parents got to my
house to pick up Ciara, luckily my parents and Ciara’s sat down and chatted for
a long time so we could play. When me and Ciara wanted to go upstairs we had to
be careful because if we reminded my Mum and Ciara’s parents reason for coming
here was that they were here to pick her up and it would not be fun anymore so
we were careful at the start but after about 10 minutes later Mum kept on seeing
us trying to get upstairs and downstairs. When my Mum said Ciara had to go now
we hid in the garden but eventually Ciara had to go home :-(
Gill's Blog : Well I think we are ready, not packed, but ready ... I am teaching tomorrow and have been teaching today, but it has been a pleasure. Yesterday I made a quilt for Katie, who wanted something she could snuggle on the plane.. so using the same fabric as Ashleigh's quilt, I used the quilt design 'flying geese' to make something special for my little hockey star.
After years in telecoms, it is such a pleasure to spend time with people, be creative and enjoy soo much time with the girls and Brian.
ps. I can't post pictures of Ashleigh's and Jackson's quilts as they are a surprise, but I am hoping to take a picture of the children holding their quilts in front of the Opera House. How cool would that be !
