Easter Day in the Antipodes..

Katie, Ashleigh & Jackson's Blog : Happy Easter, today we woke 07:25 knowing we were going on a big Easter egg hunt. When we got upstairs we found an Easter bunny with a note, the note said please may you give this to your parents. We rushed down the stairs and said “wake up, wake up its Easter." But they just refused to get up so we had to wait a long while for everyone to get up. When they finally got up they sent me, Jackson and Ashleigh down to our room to close the curtains and door. My mum came down and gave us our first clue, it said name three natural wonders of the world. We came up with Mount Everest, Grand Canyon and The Great Barrier Reef. There were ten clues altogether and every clue had its reward (chocolate). In the end we had heaps of chocolate to eat for our tummies.
After lots of chocolate, we went to Forty Baskets beach, me and Ashleigh went on the scooter. We had a look around and then we went to NorthHarbour Reserve. It was so much fun playing basketball because me and Ashleigh were playing a really fun game. After a long, fun play, I got a delicious Oreo Ice-cream from Forty Beans Cafe. We played some more basketball and then we got in the car to go home.

When we got home me and Ashleigh went in the pool. It was freezing at first but we got used to it after a while. Me and Ashleigh had really fun game when we threw a ball across the pool and Harry (the dog) got mad but he was scared of the water. After the game we decided to teach Harry how to swim. We threw the ball into the water and then put Harry into the pool too. He swam right to the side of the pool missing the ball. After a while in a fun play in the pool we got out and played Minecraft for some time and then had a roast dinner.

Gill's Blog: Another lovely day .. walking a small part of the Manly Scenic Walkway with the kids, Katharine & Martin and of course Harry, the dog. The kids played in North Harbour Reserve - shooting basketball hoops when they could get a look in .. (there was an ultra competitive grandpa playing at the net the same time) !!!! Tomorrow we are currently planning to go up to Narrabeen Lagoon and possibly do some Kayaking ...
