Jet Lag ..

Gill's Blog : Katie is fading fast now so she wont be posting today, but I thought that I would let you all know how we are getting on. The flights were terrific. To Singapore Katie and I slept a good 7 hours and then from Singapore we got another 2 or 3 hours. Katie loved the BA entertainment system and taught me how to message between seats.. Though as we were sitting next to each other it wasn't such a big deal ! Katie's snuggle blanket was a perfect size for her in the seat and, having put her onesie on before we'd taken off from Heathrow, she happily watched films until we both decided to get some shut eye. 

When we arrive in Sydney (5am), Katharine, Ashleigh & Jackson were waiting for us.. Katie was just soo completely thrilled to see her pals again and me to see Katharine and the kids. So far today we have been to North Habour Park and had breakfast at a very cool place called '40 Beans'.. and we have been into Manly for lunch. Manly is also proper cool.. I've seen some lovely things for the gorgeous Annie already. The weather is very mixed because of Cyclone Ita.. but who cares, the surfers were enjoying it in Manly today .. we are just happy to be in Australia !

ps. The quilts and presents were all well received including the one from Ciara.. I am soo pleased Katie and I made this trip.. it really is a special thing for Katie to have come all this way and she is a super traveling companion.
