Sorry - me again .. The girls will blog again tomorrow : This morning Katie went off super happy with Ashleigh and Katharine's very kind friend Paula, and her son Stuart, to the Easter Show.... at which they had a WONDERFUL time, returning home only a short while ago. The heavens opened here this evening... a massive tropical downpour. They got home just in time.. only a little wet ! A big thank you to Katharine and Paula for organising this trip for Katie.
For me, after almost chickening out, I did climb the Sydney Harbour Bridge today. The climb was brilliant. It was really well organised and the guide was informative and interesting. I was soo proud I had done it.
I then headed over to Material Obsession in Drummoyne. The shop was tiny ... but full of lots of fabrics that I hadn't seen before as well as many I had. There were quilts hanging from all the walls, many of which are in Kathy Doughty's latest book. I bought material inspired by Aboriginal prints to make a throw for our sitting room at home (at last making something for Brian and I) and also a deep orange, red, purple fabric which I will incorporate into Annie's University Quilt. Hope you like it Annie.
Another great day after a dreadful bout of jet lag worrying in the early hours..
Happens to be one of my favourite books (Nick Hornby)..

A quilt shop....never! Hope you have an empty suitcase with you for fabric! x
ReplyDeleteStunning fabrics ... It sounds like quite a controlled shopping experience, though you have still got a couple more weeks to buy some more!! Cxx
